Just For Today

Rejected
Abandoned
Forsaken
Stranded
 
I’ll find my own way
One day, one day
 
I’ll conquer the shame
Someday, someday
 
But just for today
I’ll attempt to pray
I’ll whisper your name
Then pretend you came
To rescue my desperate heart
