We sat gathered in the pristine living room, perched on the edge of our seats, listening as they shared their messy story. A story of mistakes and unwise choices. The guilt sat squarely on his shoulders. I watched as he unintentionally held his breath, obviously waiting to see what the responses or reactions would be.
I didn’t know how the others in the room might respond, but I’d made my choice before arriving…
